Job Summary
Perform Accrual Basis accounting in QuickBooks Online, including month-end close, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. Manage the full A/R and A/P cycle, payroll, and sales tax while maintaining balance sheet schedules. Collaborate with clients as the primary point of contact, review team work, and set up technology integrations. This role supports the Controller in coaching and leverages tools to increase productivity for kept., a firm focused on providing timely financial insights to help clients remain competitive.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience with Accounting
- Consistent, reliable, detail-oriented person
- Experience with both routine and complex accounting problems
- Accounting subject matter expert
- Continuous learning mindset
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; or bookkeeping certification
- Proficiency working in QuickBooks Online
- Proficient with accrual accounting, consolidated financial statements, revenue recognition, and executing the month end close process
- Analytical thinker that is skilled in creative problem solving and using independent judgment
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to finish projects within a specified timeframe
- High level of comfort with leveraging tools and technology to collaborate with remote team members
- Reside within a state where we are established (Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota)

- Experience working with multiple clients / entities (>5), across a variety of industries to deliver bookkeeping or accounting services
