Job Summary
Prepare derivatives disclosures in 10-K, 10-Q, QFS, and stand-alone audited financial statements on GAAP and Statutory bases. Support preparation of Statutory Blue Book investment derivative schedules, assist with journal entries, and maintain accurate documentation for the hedge accounting program. Analyze and validate data from internal and external sources to develop ad hoc reports and recommend improvements. Respond to inquiries from auditors and financial teams regarding qualifying derivatives and testing. Implement new accounting pronouncements impacting derivatives and track hedged items. Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $87,000 plus incentives. Hybrid or remote work available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access)
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a public or private company environment
- Working knowledge in GAAP or Statutory accounting and reporting
- Previous experience working with derivatives
- Organizational skills and ability to track various issues at one time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with SQL
