Job Summary
Accountant position at Primavera Foundation focusing on accurate financial data, general ledger activity, and funder reimbursements. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable, posting journal entries, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, supporting month-end close, maintaining billing/reimbursement records, researching data discrepancies with internal teams, assisting with audits and internal controls, and contributing to process improvements. Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience), proficiency with data entry, solid understanding of accounting principles, experience with accounting systems and Excel, strong time management, analytical and communication skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a nonprofit setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, equivalent work experience, or a combination of the two
- Proficiency with data entry
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Office Products, including Excel
- One + years of experience in business accounting roles or general ledger balances (preferred)
- Experience with Abila (Sage) MIP accounting software (preferred)
