Job Summary
Perform accounting tasks in a college setting, including reconciling general and subsidiary ledgers, preparing journal entries, and assisting with audit schedules, financial statements, and the ACFR. Leverage GASB/GAAP knowledge and Excel/Word to compile and analyze financial data, support reporting for local, state, and federal agencies, and contribute to not-for-profit accounting processes. Emphasize accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to college policies while collaborating with internal/external partners in a sedentary office environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or enrolled in college accounting courses
- Security Sensitive - criminal background check required
- Not-for-profit accounting knowledge or exposure to GASB/GAAP
- Excel and Word proficiency
- Experience with general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed assets
- Ability to prepare journal entries and assist with audit schedules, financial statements, and ACFR
- Not-for-profit accounting environment familiarity
- Effective written and oral communication, prioritization, and teamwork
