Job Summary
Accountant I at Hilmar Cheese Company is responsible for supporting end-to-end costing and inventory controls, SAP costing, reviewing BOMs on process orders, generating and improving costing reports, performing month-end close activities, and assisting with budgeting, forecast, and internal controls under COSO. The role involves collaboration with site controlling teams, supporting accounts payable processes, maintaining process order costs, TECO and activity postings, and contributing to financial reporting and asset setup (CAPEX). Requires a High School Diploma with 6+ years of related experience, or an Associate's degree with 3+ years, or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Strong Excel and SAP experience are preferred, with manufacturing/dairy experience advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 6 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field with 3 years of related experience, OR Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Strong Excel proficiency and MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP
- Experience in costing, inventory control, process orders, TECO and activity type postings, month-end close, budgets/forecasts, and COSO internal controls
- Knowledge of GRNI and accounts payable processes
- Ability to develop and implement internal controls and monitoring procedures
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and asset capitalization (CAPEX)
