Accountant

Accountant needed to join JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa’s Finance team and manage day-to-day accounting operations, provide financial leadership to the business, and support financial analysis, reporting, audits, asset/liability reconciliations, working capital and cash control. Responsibilities include timely report submission, ensuring accurate P&L, balance sheet reconciliation, overseeing internal/external/regulatory audits, updating tax rates, training new hires, advising the Director of Finance, and contributing to budget reviews with cost-saving opportunities. The role requires tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Commerce, prior hotel experience (luxury brand preferred), and accounting experience in reporting, AP & AR, plus strong Excel skills. The position emphasizes attention to detail, strong organization, ambitious mindset, KPI-driven performance, and collaboration across the operations and finance teams.
