Job Summary
Based in Athens, Lavipharm seeks an Accountant to support accounting operations, ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations, assist in financial reporting, and contribute to the Finance Department. Responsibilities include preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries; assisting in tax declarations (income tax, VAT, withholding, real estate); reconciling discrepancies; ensuring IFRS compliance and Greek tax code adherence; maintaining internal controls; collaborating with external auditors for statutory and tax certificate audits. Qualifications include a BSc in Accounting/Finance, 3-5 years of relevant experience (pharma preferred), strong accounting and tax knowledge, IFRS familiarity, English proficiency, ERP and MS Office proficiency, analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant position (preferably within the pharmaceutical industry)
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and awareness of business trends
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements and knowledge of tax legislation
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Computer literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
