Job Summary
Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner. Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations, assist with month-end and year-end close processes, and prepare journal entries with supporting documentation. Help prepare financial reports, provide analysis, and ensure records comply with company policies and accounting standards. Support payroll processing, assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking, and prepare documentation for external audits and tax filings. Collaborate with production, operations, HR, and leadership teams on financial matters and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the entertainment, media, VFX, animation, or creative industries
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential financial information
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence
- Willingness to work on-site or hybrid as required by production and studio location
Desired Qualifications
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is considered an asset
