Job Summary
Manage your own portfolio of statutory and management accounts while preparing VAT returns and producing financial data for client board meetings. Support the firm's growth through business development activities and deliver bespoke system improvement projects. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate, on-time delivery and work directly with clients to refine their internal accounting systems and training on bookkeeping software. Provide regular, value-added advisory support and review KPIs to drive client success. This hands-on, client-facing role within a growing Cramlington practice emphasizes technical delivery and advisory expertise for individuals qualified or studying toward an accountancy qualification.
Required Qualifications
- Be qualified or actively studying towards an accountancy qualification
- Have experience working within a UK-based accountancy practice (ideally SME environment)
- Demonstrate strong organisation, time management, and ability to meet deadlines
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach
- Be adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working across a varied workload
- Have experience with multiple systems, particularly cloud accounting packages (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage 50)
- Maintain high professional standards and attention to detail
- Show a commitment to continuous development and learning
