Job Summary
Accountant II supports a Weatherization program in National City, CA by performing a full range of moderately difficult to complex accounting and financial analysis, including GAAP-based reporting, budget monitoring and cost allocation for program funds; prepares projections, budget status reports, and various financial statements; provides guidance to program management and coordinates with other departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and grant requirements; requires strong knowledge of non-profit accounting, government funding, internal controls, and proficiency with accounting software and data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, economics or related field and one year of general fund experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferred)
