Accountant II

Execute moderately complex financial tasks and complete analytical projects across WM Area Finance, Corporate Finance, and internal audit departments. Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries of varying complexity, and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy. Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations, document conclusions, and analyze financial results to communicate trends and provide meaningful insights. Collect financial data to prepare combined statements, coordinate monthly financial packages, and evaluate accounting consequences of potential transactions. Participate in monthly financial review meetings and provide guidance on internal and external accounting procedures while maintaining internal controls. Requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience; located in a professional office environment.
