Job Summary
Accountant II: Supports VOALA programs with accounting and reporting services, preparing financial information for Program Managers and Corporate Leadership. Duties include maintaining accounting data for multiple programs (including grants), preparing journal entries and financial reports per GAAP, approving AP vouchers, analyzing general ledger and program finances, preparing monthly billing and drawdown, maintaining controls, performing reconciliations, and supporting program budgets and RFP processes. Requires office presence and compliance with reporting requirements; familiarity with Great Plains and federal grant accounting; mandatory reporting responsibilities; and a Bachelor’s degree with several years of accounting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree
- 4 years of general accounting experience or 2 years of public accounting experience
- Bachelor?s in finance, business or accounting (preferred)
- Experience with Great Plains accounting software
- Mandated Reporter duties (knowledge of reporting requirements)
- Fingerprint clearance and background checks
