Job Summary

Maintain accounting records for company-owned fixed assets and rental fleet assets, including processing additions, transfers, trade-ins, retirements, and disposals. Monitor construction-in-progress activity, prepare depreciation calculations, roll-forwards, reconciliations, and reporting schedules. Support rental fleet accounting, branch transfers, inventory verification, and audits while performing lease accounting activities for ASC 842 compliance. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and close support schedules, and assist with daily cash management, wire transfers, and cash reporting. Collaborate with accounting leadership and treasury functions to ensure timely processing of disbursements and funding activities. Prepare audit support for fixed assets, leases, and capital expenditures, and develop SOPs and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting, finance or business administration or related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting and financial record-keeping experience
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Ability to apply Company capitalization policies to recurring and non-routine asset transactions
  • Understanding of asset lifecycle concepts including acquisition, capitalization, transfer, depreciation, impairment indicators, retirement, and disposal

Desired Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting, finance or business administration or related field preferred from an accredited college or university
  • Progressive accounting experience with fixed assets, rental assets, depreciation, capitalization, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit support
  • Experience supporting large equipment fleets, rental equipment businesses, manufacturing, construction, industrial operations, or other capital-intensive environments
  • Experience with ERP fixed asset modules, fixed asset subledgers, lease accounting systems controls, and large data sets
  • Ability to research issues, identify root causes, communicate findings, and recommend practical accounting or process corrections
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities during close and audit deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment when handling financial information
