Job Summary
The Accountant II position is responsible for invoicing and analyzing financial data for projects. This individual will review time and bills received from subcontractors for these projects. This individual will also be accountable for reconciling the general ledger, assisting in project implementations, and continual process improvement. Primary duties include monthly invoicing of Time and Material and Milestone projects, reviewing employee and subcontractor time, rates, and bills, assisting with project management and time tracking in the Kimble application, financial analysis and reporting on projects, ensuring financial records comply with policy, data reconciliation across multiple databases, identifying opportunities for performance and process improvements, supporting month-end close, data retrieval for uploads using Excel (including VLOOKUP), and serving as the main point of contact for invoicing inquiries. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on accuracy, flexibility, and attention to detail, and offers exposure to audit activities and a broad benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in accounting, business administration, related discipline, or relevant experience
- 5-7 years of Accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Familiarity with Intacct, Salesforce.com, and PSA System
- Experience with contracts, invoicing, and billing
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
