Job Summary

Prepare, review, and post journal entries while performing account reconciliations and analyzing variances to ensure accurate financial reporting. Participate in month-end and year-end close activities, assist with internal and external audit inquiries, and provide documentation for audit responses. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting matters, identify process improvements, and support the implementation of enhanced controls. Guide less experienced team members as needed while maintaining compliance with established accounting principles and policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 2+ years of accounting, finance, or related experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting practices, and account reconciliation processes
  • Ability to analyze financial information, identify trends, and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of internal controls and financial compliance requirements
  • Ability to apply analytical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills to accounting and financial matters
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while reviewing and analyzing financial data
  • Ability to review detailed information with a high degree of accuracy and concentration
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of files, documents, or office materials up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to perform all tasks on-site in a professional office environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Certified Public Accountant designation or progress toward a professional accounting certification
  • Experience supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and audit activities
