Job Summary
Accountant I responsible for performing accounting duties supporting Shaw entities, applying US GAAP to prepare accurate reporting and analyses. Responsibilities include creating journal entries with proper documentation, reconciling intercompany accounts, drafting and reviewing reporting packages, managing month/quarter/year-end close processes, assisting with internal and external audits, documenting current processes, participating in finance and system projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial operations, and identifying opportunities to improve intercompany transaction quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Familiarity with consolidations and intercompany accounting (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
- Experience with journal entries and month-end close processes
- Audit support experience
