Job Summary
Conduct weekly production reporting, finished inventory tracking, and transfers between plants. Assist with month-end closing, physical inventory counts, and adjustments while performing payroll and asset audits. Analyze raw material receipts daily to ensure accuracy and support operational and capital budget preparation. Collaborate with operations to reduce costs through reporting and analysis, and help develop internal control procedures and compliance standards. Manage coverage for hourly functions and cross-train staff for vacations and holidays. Prepare reports summarizing business activity, operational expenses, and variances for profit centers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 1-3 years' experience in plant production accounting
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Must be able to examine and verify financial documents and reports
- Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system
- Knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft
- Leadership and team skills
- Knowledge of principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, methods and equipment
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing fiscal recordkeeping
- Understanding of payroll, general ledger, accounts payable and cost accounting
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices
