Job Summary
Review and correct General Ledger coding for revenue, expense, payroll, and procurement transactions across invoices, check requests, and petty cash documents within the MIP Fund Accounting Software. Develop and maintain reliable financial records to safeguard physical and financial assets, while strictly implementing MAOF Procurement Policies and Procedures. Assist in preparing annual audit schedules for external auditors and the Fiscal Officer, ensuring compliance with LACOE fiscal monitor requirements. Review journal vouchers and in-kind or non-federal share accuracy for payroll fees, workers compensation, and insurance contributions. Bachelor's degree in Accounting with two years of experience required. Full-time, exempt status with comprehensive benefits including 100% paid medical, dental, and vision, a 403(b) match, and 12 paid holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience in the accounting department of a for-profit or nonprofit organization
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
