Job Summary
End-to-end accounts payable management within an insurance environment, including processing claims payments (garages, hospitals, policyholders), broker commissions, reinsurance settlements, and vendor payments; validate invoices, maintain vendor master data, ensure VAT compliance and regulatory adherence; coordinate with Claims, Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Finance; support month-end closing and audits; ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing in line with internal policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector
- Hands-on experience in insurance-specific payments (claims, reinsurance, commissions) is highly preferred
- Controls, Compliance & Reconciliation: Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines applicable to insurance operations
- Strong understanding of insurance accounting processes
- Good knowledge of VAT and compliance requirements in the UAE
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes
- Strong coordination and communication skills to work across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
