Job Summary
ACCOUNTANT I responsible for timely opening and sorting of mail received for revenue processing, creating deposits in the Revenue system for documentation validation, and distributing processed documentation to divisions daily. Duties include reviewing documentation for outstanding accounts receivable in FLAIR, auditing validated deposit paperwork for accuracy, scanning checks to divisions that require more information, and performing related duties as assigned. Works under the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in the Bureau of Finance and Accounting within the Division of Administration.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of professional or nonprofessional accounting experience; or
- A bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or business administration.
