Job Summary

Analyze financial processes, develop systems for financial performance, and track and monitor operations to make recommendations for improvements. Prepare accounting entries related to business processes in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of procedures for fund receipt and disbursement. Perform accounting analysis, monthly reconciliations, and support audit processes. This role requires a four-year undergraduate degree in accounting with four years of relevant experience, preferably in government or workforce development. The position offers a pay range of $55,000-$70,000 depending on experience. At C2 Global Professional Services, you will contribute to innovative workforce and career services across Texas, Florida, and Southern Nevada, supporting communities through strategic direction and advanced accounting theory application.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of budget control methods, fiscal policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to financial operations of Workforce Solutions contracts
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Manual for Grants and Contracts (FMGC)
  • Knowledge of effective management techniques and practices to include planning, strategy development and implementation, assessment of outcomes and accountability
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, technology, and computer skills
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Organizational skill
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and update procedures and coordinate accounting operations, to interpret laws and regulations and apply advanced accounting theory
  • Ability to provide strategic direction and establish business objectives
  • Undergraduate degree with major coursework in accounting or related field
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience preferably in government or workforce development
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with good driving record
  • Physical requirements include lifting to 10 pounds occasionally
  • Subject to standing, sitting, bending, and walking to perform job scope
  • Requires visual acuity, speech, and hearing
  • Occasional driving and travel may be required
  • Flexible hours may be required

Desired Qualifications

  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Experience in MIP Accounting Software a plus
