Job Summary
Responsible for complex accounting and finance functions within the Human Services Department, including processing accounts payable; reconciling and balancing accounts; ensuring accuracy in the general ledger, and maintaining the fiscal records in accordance with county, state, and federal requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include managing accounts payable and vendor payroll functions, monitoring and reconciling billable Medicaid activities, using QuickBooks to review disbursements in fiduciary accounts, providing training and guidance on finance processes, preparing journal entries and financial reports for month-end and year-end tasks, supporting contracts/grants administration for compliance, cross-training for backup, and responding to vendor/employee inquiries with documentation for audits.
