Job Summary
Accountant: Forex responsible for managing forex function within Ackermans Finance Retail Accounting. Core duties include forward cover purchasing and settlement, monthly/adhoc reporting of forward cover positions, hedge accounting accuracy, forecasting and budgeting of currency differences, risk management and process enhancements, engagement with stakeholders to obtain forward cover requirements, monthly forex reconciliations, and attendance to month-end/year-end/audit matters. Requires 3+ years’ accounting experience, expertise in forex management, strong Excel skills, and ability to work independently or in a team; essential qualifications include a B.Comm or equivalent, with preferred B.Comm (Hons) or CIMA; retail/forex experience is advantageous; based at the Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town, in-office.

- B.Comm or equivalent financial qualification
- B.Comm (Hons) or CIMA certification
- Articles of financial clerkship completed or in progress
