Job Summary
Financial Accountant responsible for monthly financial statements for the Canadian construction subsidiary, intercompany journal entries, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and tax returns across Canadian provinces and US states. Provides analysis of financial performance, supports operational and accounting staff, and communicates financial information to management. Requires proficiency with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or similar), BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled or recently completed in CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)
- One- or two- year diploma or certificate in business with an accounting focus
- Minimum 1 to 2 years general accounting experience in a similar industry or practice
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Knowledge of Visual, Dynamics 365 or similar ERP is an asset
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an asset
- Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax concepts is an asset
