Job Summary
Manage all accounting transactions, prepare budget forecasts, and publish financial statements on time. Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings while reconciling accounts payable and receivable and financial discrepancies. Review, prepare, and ensure timely payments by verifying documentation and determining applicable taxes. Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements. Prepare reports on financial health and liquidity, recommend financial strategies, and audit financial transactions. Reinforce data confidentiality, conduct database backups, and comply with financial policies and regulations. Guide junior Finance Team Members and coordinate department activities. Must be based in Yaba, Lagos, with 3-5 years of experience, including FinTech exposure.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience working as a qualified Accountant
- A Bachelor's Degree from a reputable educational institution
- Experience in FinTech
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge and advanced working experience of Excel
- Knowledge and working experience of Quickbooks or any relevant Accounting Software
- Able to work effectively and productively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical skills to monitor, measure and report
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
- Confident with a strong sense of judgement
- Experience as a Mid-Level or Management position Finance Professional
- Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines independently and as part of a Team
- Must be based in Yaba, Lagos or surrounding areas
- Must be available to start no later than 8th April 2024 (or as soon as possible)
Desired Qualifications
- in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline is preferred
