Job Summary
Accountant responsible for fixed asset capitalization and lifecycle management, depreciation budgeting, and analysis for external auditors. Creates and maintains PeopleSoft project budgets for Corporate Facilities and hospitals; performs asset, liability, and expense journal entries; maintains plant ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations; prepares monthly fiscal reports and schedules for capital project spend; analyzes variances between actual and budgeted results and liaises between finance and operations. Supports annual depreciation budgeting and the annual budget process, and assists with external audits and government reporting. Requires independent judgment, strong accounting fundamentals, and ability to work with multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- 0-2 Years experience, preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, required
- Database knowledge preferred
