Job Summary
Execute accounting procedures to prepare financial statements, perform branch audit evaluations, and assemble bank reconciliations. Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes while analyzing income statement fluctuations and providing cost-saving process improvements. Manage financial records, support budgeting and forecasting, and assist personnel with accounting policy questions. Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance and handle ad-hoc responsibilities such as T&E reports, tax returns, and expense processing. This role offers a clear career path with training, mentoring, and a culture of promotion from within to become a Controller or VP of Finance.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited Canadian University or an International equivalent as recognized by the World Education Services (WES) and/ or Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Valid AB Class 5 Canadian driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past three years
- No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record (DUI/DWI) within the past five years
- Authorized to work in Canada and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
