Job Summary
Manage Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, applying manual payments, generating aging reports, and reconciling customer accounts. Record routine journal entries and bank transactions accurately and timely. Process accounts payable bills and credit card transactions as needed. Execute month-end closing activities and perform account reconciliations. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Conduct bank reconciliations regularly. Provide support to team members and collaborate across departments as required. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 1-2 years of accrual basis accounting experience are required. Located in Iowa City, IA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 1-2 years of accrual basis accounting working experiences including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact within all levels of the organization
- Ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects
- Detail-oriented, excellent proofreading and editing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, able to prioritize and work independently
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
- Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening
