Accountant

Conduct day-to-day accurate and timely bank reconciliations for multiple property accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Prepare monthly journal entries to record interest income, other deposits, and intercompany cash transactions, including amortizing prepaids, recording expense accruals, and reconciling debt. Enter and reconcile mortgage statements to ensure principal, interest, escrow, and fee activity is accurately recorded. Assist with timely preparation of portfolio level reporting packages and support financial decision-making by collaborating with property managers and regional leaders. Perform minor accounts payable processing as needed, including coding, entering, and paying invoices. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts related to escrow, security deposits, and reserve accounts. Work within monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines using professional judgment when handling confidential information.
