Job Summary
Maintain accurate financial records, manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank, supplier, and customer accounts. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, file tax returns including VAT, PAYE, NHIF, and NSSF, and ensure compliance with Kenyan regulations. Monitor inventory transactions for tiles, sanitary ware, adhesives, and finishing materials while processing payroll and statutory deductions. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, generate Sage reports for management, and coordinate with external auditors. Support procurement and sales with financial analysis and stock controls. Requires CPA or ACCA, 10+ years experience in construction or building materials, and Sage proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum of 10 years' accounting experience, preferably in construction or building materials industry
- Strong hands-on experience using Sage accounting software
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and inventory accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
