Job Summary
Facilitate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for a portfolio of companies by preparing general journal entries and analyzing intercompany balances. Conduct general ledger reconciliations, prepare balance sheet and income statement variance analyses, and maintain financial reporting process documentation. Account for PPE additions and disposals, support year-end audit procedures, and propose process improvements while executing internal control procedures. Requires 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, on-site presence for at least 4 days, and strong proficiency in IFS, Blackline, or similar financial systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience performing full-cycle accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent in relevant work experience
- CPA designation or scheduled to take the CFE within the next 12 months
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines, particularly around month and quarter end close
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize competing responsibilities while working in a very fast paced, dynamic, high volume team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply sound professional judgment under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work additional hours when needed at quarter end or during peak periods
- Experience with Financial Systems such IFS, Blackline, IT2, OneStream or similar systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and US GAAP is an asset)
- Strong MS Excel skills (including vlookup and pivot tables) with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Experience in working in a public listed companies (in US or Canada)
- This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively
Desired Qualifications

- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and US GAAP is an asset)
- Experience in working in a public listed companies (in US or Canada) will be considered an asset
