Job Summary
Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close for the Finance Office. Reconcile assigned balance sheet and revenue/expense accounts while maintaining accurate supporting documentation. Support revenue recognition processes for tuition, fees, and auxiliary services, and process departmental expense submissions with proper coding. Assist with accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry and payment posting. Reconcile cash receipts and help resolve discrepancies between the general ledger and subledgers. Prepare audit schedules and documentation to ensure internal controls are maintained. Submit work for review and approval by senior staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience
- Understanding of GAAP and basic nonprofit accounting principles
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must successfully pass a background check

- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Ellucian, Workday, Jenzabar, or Blackbaud
