Job Summary
Manage general ledger accounting by creating work papers, posting entries, and reviewing trial balances to ensure accurate financial statements. Reconcile control and subsidiary accounts, perform independent research on coding errors, and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with cost trend analysis. Ensure proper invoice coding for GAAP compliance, prepare tax schedules, and support annual audits. Develop accounting procedures, train team members, and collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve data integrity issues and refine internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance
- Two (2) or more years of experience in accounting
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four (4) or more years of experience in accounting
- Working knowledge of data flowing through assigned accounts
- Working knowledge of building complex spreadsheets using advance Excel formulas and functions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access queries and parameters
- Working knowledge of Power Point and One Note
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong understanding of the allocation process as well as the data (coding) that drives the GAAP/ EAR allocations to ensure allocation results are accurate and in line with financial reporting goals of the organization
- Strong understanding of the data and the flow of data throughout the organization
- Advanced Access and Excel skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in accounting for a multi-specialty, physician owned practice
- Working knowledge of Oracle
