Job Summary
The Accountant (A/R) will manage Accounts Receivable operations and support grants management to sustain CSS Alaska’s mission. Responsibilities include processing high volumes of invoices and payments (checks, ACH, EFT), reconciling payments against invoices, maintaining organized records, preparing aging reports, and collaborating with internal departments to resolve discrepancies. The role also supports month-end closing, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP, while assisting with internal/external audits and safeguarding data integrity. Additional duties include ensuring accurate recordkeeping, reconciling donations with Development, and providing back-up support to accounts payable; involvement in grants management to track and utilize grant funds effectively. Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of finance experience; advanced certifications are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in finance, business administration, or related field
- Two (2) years of finance experience
- Advanced professional certification is preferred
