Job Summary
The Account Specialist promotes AbbVie products to community practices and health systems, including neurology, pain medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, and pharmacy, as well as urology-related specialties. Responsibilities include achieving sales goals, complying with corporate policies, identifying customer needs, delivering expert anatomical/procedural information and training for residents and hospital personnel, and collaborating with peers to train staff and drive product adoption. The role requires travel to assigned accounts, capability to lift/training models, and meeting HCIR credentialing requirements. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred (or equivalent industry experience) with relevant sales experience; a valid driver’s license and ability to travel are expected. The compensation range is disclosed and includes eligible benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is at least five (5) years of technical experience with three (3) or more years of experience within sales preferred
- Ability to manage a complex sell, learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information quickly and communicate/present/train to a variety of audiences
- Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred, in both health systems and private practice
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to cover territory, including overnight trainings and meetings
- HCIR credentialing requirements may include background checks, immunizations, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses
- Willingness to obtain required credentials to enter facilities
