Job Summary
Service auto loan accounts delinquent for 30–60 days by negotiating payment arrangements, proposing alternative methods, and assisting borrowers in retaining their vehicles. Document all collection activities and account information using loan servicing software while utilizing skip tracing tools to locate delinquent borrowers. Ensure strict compliance with company policies and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) throughout all interactions. Work independently in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling and overtime as needed. Located in Santa Ana, CA, Ontario, CA, or Fort Worth, TX.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ year(s) of experience in the collections field
- Experience preferably in the subprime consumer lending industry
- Effective communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations
- Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Available to work a flexible work schedule
- Available to work overtime as needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work in In-Office position in Santa Ana, CA, Ontario, CA, and Fort Worth, TX
