Job Summary
Account Service Analyst role focusing on freight brokerage customer service and operational support. Responsibilities include direct communication with transportation planners and carrier procurement partners; identifying customer requirements and ensuring service levels meet expectations; actively bid on spot freight opportunities and improve win percentage; entering load details in MercuryGate and coordinating appointments; coordinating with Carrier Team to ensure client shipments are booked and tracked for on-time pickup or delivery; using transportation systems to align movement of freight with rate and service-time requirements; meeting deadlines and contributing to growth and profitability targets; researching growth opportunities within each customer and leading efforts to improve efficiency and profitability of operations. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years of brokerage operations experience, proficiency with Transportation Management Systems and data analysis, and strong communication, planning, and regulatory knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or related studies preferred
- Minimum 2 years of related experience with emphasis on brokerage operations
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems, market rate tools/software, analysis with large data sets
- PC literate with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to develop relationships
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Knowledge of domestic transportation and documentation for all utilized modes
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance associated with US truck freight brokerage
- Excellent personnel development skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to travel when applicable
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
