Job Summary
Account Sales Engineer responsible for identifying, managing and closing profitable business at assigned Cognex accounts, developing 12–24 month pipelines for incremental opportunities, and demonstrating Cognex vision products to customers. Must build trust with clients, manage contract negotiations, develop integration-partner opportunities, and coordinate evaluations with the Applications Engineering team while traveling across the assigned territory. Requires proven automation/vision sales experience, ability to work remotely, and strong ability to forecast and provide upward information flow.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven track record of sales performance in the automation or similar industry
- Proven track record in a solutions sales environment with longer and more complex sales cycles
- Building long-term account and partner relationships
- Energetic, flexible and capable of operating remotely
- Ability to travel intensively across the assigned territory
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in selling technical products to all levels of an organization
- Experience in selling vision products is preferred
