Job Summary
Account Sales Engineer role focused on identifying, managing and closing profitable business at assigned Cognex accounts; develop a 12 to 24 month pipeline of well-qualified incremental opportunities; maintain detailed knowledge of Cognex technology and competitive products; demonstrate products to customers using the Cognex sales process; lead contract negotiations and ensure contract compliance; collaborate with integration partners and Applications Engineering to apply best sales channels; assist at trade shows and marketing events; forecast and provide upward information flow; travel across the assigned territory and work remotely when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven sales experience in automation or similar industry
- Experience in selling technical products to all levels of an organization
- Experience in selling vision products preferred
- Ability to travel intensively across the assigned territory
- Ability to work independently
