Account Manager - Water Treatment Chemicals

Job Summary
Analyze, build, and optimize chemical treatment programs for cooling water, boiler water, wastewater, and membrane applications. Conduct sample testing and deliver technical service reports to interpret results and recommend improvement initiatives. Execute account management excellence programs including service plans, value generation plans, and business reviews to demonstrate measurable customer value. Plan and communicate value generation projects that drive water and energy sustainability while improving asset protection. Meet annual revenue targets by managing margin reviews, price escalations, and commercial negotiations, while maintaining a healthy sales funnel for new, recurring business. Work safely following all EHS policies and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science, or engineering, or 8+ years of direct experience in the water treatment industry. Based in Louisville, KY; Lexington, KY; Cincinnati, OH; or Dayton, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or Engineering/Technologist (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), preferred
- minimum 8+ years of direct experience in the field and water treatment industry
- high school education
- Chemical water & process treatment experience
- 4+ years of technical sales experience with demonstrated success in account management, revenue growth, and customer relationship building
- Experience with consultative selling and technical solution development
- A full valid driver's license
- willingness to travel
