Job Summary
Account Manager within the Supply Chain team responsible for managing supplier relationships and coordinating inbound/outbound supply for assigned Processing Centers. Responsibilities include managing supplier accounts, coordinating scheduling requests, maintaining supply margins and performance, managing inventory for locations, developing buying plans to ensure steady supply, creating load requests, reviewing supplier invoices, and reporting on supplier performance and supply trends. Also involves negotiating pricing/terms, monitoring market conditions, identifying procurement improvements, assessing supply risks, ensuring incoming supply quality, conducting onsite supplier meetings, managing Gaylord and pallet supply for operations, and acting as a subject-matter expert in Thrift and Library supply channels; participation in industry conferences/tradeshows and assisting suppliers with the supplier portal. Requires strong organization, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication; minimum 1–2 years in supply chain/procurement context and proficiency with MS Office; CRM experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Supply Chain experience (planning or procurement preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience developing and maintaining supplier or customer relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- CRM experience preferred
- Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and negotiation abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
