Job Summary
The Area Manager oversees multiple customer accounts and site management teams across several job sites within the assigned region, ensuring daily operations align with company standards and KPIs. Responsibilities include strategic account development, budget and financial compliance, supervising site management teams, administrative tasks, routine facility inspections, enforcing safety policies, interviewing/hiring/training new employees, resolving employee and customer issues, procurement of supplies and equipment, maintaining equipment, task assignment and quality conformance checks, and producing monthly customer reports on building conditions. Requires strong supervisory and communication skills, health and safety regulatory familiarity, ability to manage changing priorities, and a proactive, self-starting approach to leadership across multi-site facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of supervisory/management experience
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in maintenance field, two of which were supervisory
- Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly
- Familiarity with all current health and safety regulations
- Strong supervisory skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with changing priorities and situations
- Self-starter who can work with people at all levels in/out of the plant
- Must be able to follow job-related instructions and duties as assigned
- Ability to perform duties including site inspections and monthly reports to customers
