Job Summary
Account Manager for SMB-Business Sales at Verizon, responsible for hunting and growing in-territory revenue through cold-calling, lead-generation campaigns, partner-selling, and social selling. You’ll consult with customers to identify business challenges and tailor multi-product solutions (Cloud, Security, ISP, VoIP, Google platforms) to deliver measurable ROI, while retaining and expanding existing accounts. Responsibilities include developing and qualifying leads, presenting solutions to key decision makers, tracking progress in Salesforce, and traveling within the assigned territory (approximately up to 50%). The role emphasizes building relationships, educating customers on technology-enabled business solutions, and driving revenue growth through a mix of new business and account development. The position offers base pay plus commission with benefits and a mobile work model, requiring a Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience, strong communication and presentation skills, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or three or more years of work experience
- Willingness to work in a mobile working model with travel within your assigned geographic sales territory
- Valid driver’s license
- Two or more years of business-to-business or outside sales experience (preferred)
- Experience with technology sales and CRM tools (Salesforce or similar)
- Strong presentation skills in person and virtual environments
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels of client organizations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to accomplish goals
- Ability to implement feedback and tailor approach for success
