Job Summary
Account Manager for SMB business sales at Verizon responsible for hunting and growing accounts within a defined territory. You’ll consult with customers to identify business challenges and propose tailored, multi-product solutions (Cloud, Security, ISP, VoIP, Google platforms) to deliver measurable ROI. Responsibilities include developing and qualifying leads, cold-calling, partner-selling, lead-generation campaigns, and modern social selling techniques; retaining and growing the existing customer base; building relationships with key decision makers; presenting and creating multi-product opportunities; and tracking progress in CRM tools. This mobile role involves working from customer/field locations with up to 50% travel, and may include in-person training and meetings at Verizon locations. Compensation includes base salary plus commission, with a New York area target range of $37,000–$64,000 for full-time roles, plus comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for additional incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or three or more years of work experience
- Three or more years of relevant work experience
- Willingness to work in a mobile working model with travel within your assigned geographic sales territory
- Expected travel may be up to approximately 50% of the time
- Valid driver’s license
