Job Summary
Oversee a portfolio of complex clients by managing renewals and open enrollment, coordinating with group administrators and carriers to execute plan selections and confirm enrollment changes. Conduct in-depth benefit analysis to recommend strategic enhancements and additional coverage lines, while developing customized marketing analysis and competitive reports to optimize client offerings. Collaborate with brokers, sales consultants, and carrier partners to deliver exceptional service, manage Co-Broker arrangements, and assist clients in navigating carrier transitions and new coverage additions. Provide high-level customer service by proactively identifying issues and resolving inquiries to ensure long-term retention. Support less experienced Account Managers through training and guidance, while participating in cross-functional projects to improve team performance and service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of prior experience as an Account Manager or a combination of education and prior insurance experience that would provide an equivalent background in terms of insurance knowledge and experience
- Must hold and maintain Life & Health License by timely renewing license and completing all required continuing education courses
- Strong understanding of employee benefits products, contributions, and pricing models
- Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and Customer Relationship Management systems
- Communicates effectively and confidently across a variety of channels, tailoring messages to different audiences and ensuring clarity in both client and internal communications
- Delivers a high-quality customer experience by building trusted relationships, addressing complex client needs, and proactively managing account activities to ensure satisfaction
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex information
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and departments, contributing to shared goals and supporting cross-functional initiatives
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with overtime during peak periods, holidays, and weekends as requested
- Local travel will be required for client meetings or training sessions
- Remote work is permitted, with occasional in-office attendance required for meetings, training, and team collaborations
