Job Summary
Conduct daily calls and face-to-face meetings with public sector property owners, contractors, and dealers to identify energy efficiency opportunities and facilitate program participation. Build and maintain an account base that achieves same-year savings and develops the following year's pipeline by explaining incentives and guiding customers through enrollment. Contribute to marketing campaigns, program strategy evolution, and feature design while delivering presentations at industry conferences. Prepare weekly and monthly summary reports for leadership and accurately monitor progress on contractor participation and project completion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in sales, engineering, and/or energy efficiency
- High school diploma and 6+ years of related work experience with equipment or technology sales, engineering, and/or energy efficiency programs
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Energy Efficiency or Sustainability Consulting
- Experience with client management in the public sector
- Knowledge of common electric and gas equipment used in the multifamily sector including domestic hot water systems, HVAC systems, interior/exterior lighting, pool pumps, etc.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Ability to guide and influence customers to opt for cost-effective energy efficiency solutions
- Demonstrated capabilities in building and maintaining relationships with key market players in the energy sector
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong outreach and communications abilities
- Sales experience and the initiative to embrace continuous learning toward becoming an expert on the programs and technologies you represent
- Well-developed phone presence and high comfort level in initiating conversations
- Excellent written communications skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills
