Job Summary
Account Manager coordinates and supports order management and ensures on-time delivery of quality parts and assemblies for specific customers, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction through strong relationship management. Serves as the primary point of contact for customers, identifies requirements, communicates job status, resolves issues, maintains existing accounts, tracks weekly OTD/date management reports, provides forecast data, updates customer/order records, and supports continuous improvement of processes. Requires meticulous attention to detail, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Concatenate), knowledge of engineering drawings/technical specifications, effective written and verbal communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and dashboards/portals for order management and customer data is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 3-6 years of account management or customer service experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessments, understanding of quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and an ERP/MRP system
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to address customer requests in a timely manner
- Ability to maintain and update customer and order records with high accuracy
- Experience with data analysis, forecasting, and planning
