Job Summary
Account Manager – Plastic Sales position focusing on growing new and existing accounts in the Midwest (Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky) through in-person meetings, quotes, and presentation delivery. Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, extensive travel, and strong communication and presentation skills. Must develop relationships with accounts, collect information for costing, and ensure customer satisfaction. Travel up to 25% and onsite work are required. Preferred knowledge of injection molding and a technical background to support dialogue with customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience
- Extensive travel necessary
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Demonstrated ability to develop a sale from cold call through close
- Documented ability to identify and develop targets which fit business plan
- Documented success in account management and service
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Able to speak in front of small groups, prepare and present impactful presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Preferred Technical knowledge of injection molding
- Sales experience in a manufacturing, new product design environment
- Mechanically inclined
- Technical background
