Job Summary
Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning daily schedules to call on sales outlets and trade factors. Lead generation, cold calling, and appointment setting drive sales activities within the assigned territory, while promoting maintenance services to customers. Perform hands-on servicing including chemical testing, calibration, equipment repair, and visual inspections of systems. Schedule service and sales calls with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. Identify new business needs and develop customized solutions for clients. This role requires a valid driver's license, 3-5 years of sales experience, and physical ability to climb ladders and carry heavy equipment in HVAC environments. 35% travel is required, with a flexible schedule including some weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales with a proven successful track record
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and management skill
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with experience working on teams from multiple locations
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledgeable in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Knowledgeable in CRM software or related systems
- Knowledgeable in using a computer, tablet, smart phone, and other work related technology
- MUST be Highly Motivated and a Self-Starter
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (DMV record will be checked)
- Ability to work flexible schedule, some weekends required depending on the servicing of accounts
- 35% travel required
- Perform physical work in a HVAC, cooling towers, or boiler equipment environment requiring exposure to chemicals, noise, hot & cold temperatures and inclement weather
- Be able to wear protective gear for the face, ears, and gloves
- Ability to climb and descend stairs and ladders (from 10-30' in height)
- Ability to carry drums of chemicals weighing up to 50 pounds while maintaining a 3-point ladder contact
