Job Summary

Senior Account Manager for Schrödinger in Japan responsible for developing comprehensive strategies to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets across Japan’s materials science industries (chemicals, electronics, semiconductors, energy, automotive, aerospace). Build and manage a pipeline of accounts, plan and conduct regular customer meetings and technical demonstrations with application scientists, negotiate and close licensing and service agreements, and drive post-implementation satisfaction and retention. Monitor market dynamics to identify where Schrödinger can deliver value, produce accurate revenue forecasts, and provide regular performance feedback to headquarters. Travel domestically within Japan as needed, engaging with researchers, managers, and executives to translate complex scientific solutions into business value.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in scientific or enterprise software sales
  • account strategy development and sales forecasting
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, biology, or related scientific field
  • business-level English proficiency (preferred)
  • ability to travel domestically within Japan
  • proven experience meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • experience building and managing a pipeline of accounts
  • strong communication and relationship-building skills
